Fundraising for Marie Curie
Story
The Marathon has been and gone, and I survived through it! My time was 4:55 which is longer than I was planning, though getting round was my main objective! Also together, we've managed to raise very nearly £3,000 for Marie Curie, which is *amazing*, so thank you so much for your support for what is a great cause. The support of everyone who got behind me, and supported or sponsored, and the cheers from the people on the streets of New York City have been amazing, Thank You.
Yes indeed, you read that correctly. I've kind of accidentally entered the New York marathon, you know how these things happen, and will be dragging my not insubstantial frame around the streets of the "Big Apple" to raise money for Marie Curie.
It takes place on November the 1st, so I am currently running about trying to get ready for it. I have no finish time in mind, my only real goal is still being alive at the end! I should stress that ALL money raised goes to Marie Curie, and I'm paying to get there!
