The London Marathon returns on 21 April 2024. Support The Children's Trust Squad and do something amazing for children with acquired brain injury.

Story

Every year, 40,000 children in the UK are left with a brain injury as a result of an accident or illness, with many not able to access the support they desperately need. The goal of the Children's Trust is to reach and support more children with brain injury to give them the best life possible.

I am so excited to be running the marathon to support the Children’s Trust. As I grew up close by, it is a charity close to my heart.

The organisation became personally important to me at a young age when a young person I knew was admitted with a congenial brain injury. He sadly died, but his parents could not speak highly enough of the support that both he and they received. It truly helped them with the healing process to know how much he was cared for by the incredible medical and pastoral team at Tadworth.

I know this level of support continues to today and I want to help sustain this quality of holistic support and healing by raising funds and awareness.

I have been running seriously for 2 years now, running race distances of 10k and half marathons. London will be my first marathon. I am excited and committed to the distance and challenge.
