We fund life saving medical research to beat the world's biggest killers.

Story

Welcome to the 2009 Cornwall Capers Argos cycle ride's Just Giving website. Following the success of the 2007 Coast to Coast and 2008 Castle to Castle cycle rides in which over £10,000 was raised each for Help the Hospices and Leukaemia Research we are aiming another successful attempt for our friends at the British Heart Foundation.

Amazingly following the horror stories of tortured posteriors and tired limbs for the past 2 attempts we have managed to retain a core group of cyclists who have completed at least 1 and in some cases both of the previous events, even more amazing is we have transferred (conscripted) in some new talent who are bravely and literally putting their bottoms where their mouths are and taking part in the latest event and cycling and riding 177 miles in 3 days, including a Day One 72 mile "jaunt" across Cornwall, taking in such places as Wadebridge, Falmouth and St Just.

The names of this year’s group of intrepid cyclists are as follows Adrian Burleton, Christopher Gavin, Steve Chapman, Gareth Oaten, Luke Daniells, Mark Jones, Carl McQuillan, Stuart Woods, Mark Peterkin, Alan Wilkes, Simon Bentley, Tim Standen, Andrew Jenkins, Sean Wallis, Stephanie Davis, Oliver Wilkes, Andrea Abbis, Steve Abbis, Deborah Taylor, Amanda Buckland, Jo McFarland and Mark Baldwin.

Please, if you have any affinity/relationship/passing acquaintance with these people please give generously for a good cause as speaking from my own experiences of the last 2 years, believe we earn every penny!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Finally good luck to everyone and stay tuned for further updates.
