We provide care in Coventry & Warwickshire to people with a terminal illness aged 18+

Story

Staff at Coventry University are running the Coventry Half Marathon to raise money for the Myton Hospice in memory of Sue Richardson, the Chief Finance Officer at Coventry University who died from a brain tumour in 2018.

Sue was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumour, in February 2018, and passed away just a few short months later in May.

The Myton Hospice in Coventry provided wonderful care for Sue and her family. Myton Hospices run primarily on fundraising and donations, and need to raise £9,600,000 this year to be able to run. We would like to raise sponsorship so they can continue to support families and care for patients like they did for Sue.

Colleagues decided to take part in the Coventry half marathon in her Memory.

Sue herself had been a runner for at least 10 years and took part in multiple marathons and half marathon events including the Great North Run.

The event takes place on Sunday 24th March 2019 within Coventry.
