I am running the Edinburgh 10k on 22nd May 2011 for Crohn's and Colitis UK. It is a charity which is close to my heart having being diagnosed with the condition in 2000. I have been very fortunate compared to many others who suffer so thought I should get off my lazy a$$ and do something to help those less fortunate.

The aims of the charity are to improve life for everyone affected by the disease. Together these conditions affect about 250,000 people in the United Kingdom.

The charity brings together people of all ages who have been diagnosed with the condition, their families and the health professionals involved in their care. There is no cure for the condition and noone knows its cause, so your donation will be used to research both these areas and hopefully improve the lives of those that are affected.

I know that it can get costly sponsoring friends and family so if you are even able to donate £1-2, I would be really grateful. As Tesco's say, "Every little help!!!"
