Ever since I first saw Ewan and Charley ride their motorbikes round the world for UNICEF  I have had a strong ambition and desire to do something similar and by doing it raise some money for a local good cause.

 

I recently spent some time doing volunteering work at the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) based in Millington in Cheshire and after seeing what they do for the children that stay there I knew I wanted to help them again.

 

What I didn’t realise was just how much they rely on their volunteers to actively take part in challenges like this to get the funding they need.

 

CAFT provides life-changing experiences and opportunities to thousands of terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children each year. All children regardless of age, ability or social circumstance have the right to play in a safe environment. A holiday or day trip at the Adventure Farm gives these children a fantastic opportunity to escape the stresses and traumas of their everyday life and become children again.

 

Next May, myself, Rick Preskey and Matt Lenaghan plan to take a car and a motorbike on a 1,250 mile round trip through 6 European countries in 6 days. Starting in Manchester, we will drive/ride through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Holland before taking the ferry (…….and no doubt enjoying a well earned beer or two!) to Hull and making the journey back home to Manchester.

 

Please help us to raise as much as possible for CAFT and enable them to continue doing the great work that they do every day.
