Story
In September I am taking on my biggest physical challenge to date - to cycle nearly 1000 miles over 9 days, covering the length of Britain, from Land's End to John O'Groats. Averaging more than 100 miles a day, and camping each night, this will be a huge test of mental resolve! Details on the ride here https://www.rideacrossbritain.com/
I am raising funds for a cause that is very close to my heart. Kick4Life https://www.kick4life.org/ uses sport to provide health, education & employability support to vulnerable girls and boys in Lesotho in Southern Africa, where more than 100,000 children have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Lesotho has the world's second highest prevalence at 23.6%.
As a sports lover myself, I believe strongly in the approach of Kick4Life to harness sport to make a real difference in these young people's lives, and to empower them with skills and knowledge to lead happy, successful lives. I am also a good friend of the charity's co-founder and became a trustee 5 yrs ago, and through this link have a personal connection to the charity and its life-saving work.
I would be so incredibly grateful if you could sponsor me to undertake this challenge, and if you are able to contribute, whatever the amount, please make a donation. I have self funded everything to cover the cost for the charity so anything you give now is all for the charity.
I will be keeping people updated on social media throughout the challenge and look forward to reporting back on how funds donated are being put to excellent use by the charity.
