Story
Christopher Wallace Day on 22nd September 2018 is Cramlington Rockets’ annual charity day to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
A family fun day for all, there willing, bouncy castle, cake stall, tombola, raffle, games and more. Our suggested donation is £3 for players and £1 for spectators.
Christopher Wallace was one of the original Rockets when the club formed back in 2000. In 2012 he suddenly passed away at the age of only 25 due to a heart defect.
This was devastating for everyone that knew Christopher. He was the life and soul of the club and renowned for his pranks. With several of Christopher’s teammates still at the club, it is an occasion that means a lot to them.
In 2016 we raised £954 and we would like to try and beat that in 2018.
The centre piece of the day is a series of exhibition matches between the club’s teams, which naturally results in some interesting competition between clubmates, and other North East clubs.
With players and spectators asked to make a donation on the day, there will be other fundraising activity between matches. Thank you for your support.
