We breed and train guide dogs to give blind people freedom and mobility

Story

Once upon a time,Trish and Jo ran a 10k. Trish trained, Jo didn't, but somehow her crazy legs carried her across the finish line without breaking a sweat, while Trish was huffing and puffing like nobodies business. (although, previous supporters, Trish did hold up her end of the bargain and run under an hour (54.27 to be precise) - so can be trusted to keep promises - see below!). So we thought Jo needed a bigger challenge...the 10 miles of the Great South.

In tribute to Jo's crazy legs, we've renamed our team. Jo has also donned some amazing running leggings (see above!) that she managed to dig out of her teenage bedroom drawer. If you've been shocked by this flash of purple while out and about on the Albert Road, we apologise. It's all in the name of a great cause - Guide dogs for the Blind. Guide Dogs receive no government funding, and yet transform the lives of visually impaired people every day - a very worthy cause!

So, we aim to raise £300 for them. In addition to actually running the 10 miles, we're holding fundraising barbeques etc. We also are willing to make the following promise if we meet our target (and remember, we're good at keeping our promises).

Not only will Jo wear her crazy 80s leggings for the race, but out on the town as well. Trish will find some equally marvellous blinding tights and go with Jo into the wide world. In all our glory, we will not shy away and will wear them with pride, and everyone can look, and laugh, and point and well...I can only imagine what will come our way.

So that's all. standard blurb below!
