Well, it's been a while since I did one of these, and I've got a feeling this 10K will be a toughie. The trainers in the picture are a pretty good metaphor for my current physical state - shabby and none too sprightly. However, it's for a very worthwhile cause, which will get me round the course somehow. My charity is the Psychiatry Research Trust, who fund small scale research projects into some really important areas of mental health including schizophrenia, post-natal depression, OCD, Post-traumatic stress disorder and dementia.

For those of you who'd like to cheer me along, or simply enjoy the spectacle of my pained waddling, the run is on Sun 12th July and starts at Hyde Park Corner.
