Story

Hi there sports fans!

A few years ago I got talked into doing a silly race in the Gobi Desert - 250km over 7 days.  It was an amazing experience and I did okay.  The next year I did one in the Sahara which was another wonderful experience and I went okay in that one too.

Throughout both of these races I was generously supported by friends and family who raised money for the children's medical research charity, SPARKS.  SPARKS funds research into an incredible array of childhood diseases, issues and conditions, supporting pioneering projects that help develop new treatments for children around the world.

After a nine-year hiatus, I'm back for further sand-based, dehydration-driven punishment.  On 28th April I'll set off up the Skeleton Coast on a 250km ultra-marathon in the Namib Desert, one of the most hostile and beautiful places on Earth, and I need your help to raise some more money for this wonderful charity.  The sunburn, chafing and blisters will be made all the more bearable in the knowledge that I'm running for such a good cause.

Please donate generously.

Dan
