Story
I've been itching to do a big challenge for a while but have never felt ready, or it's never been the 'right time'. After a pretty boring year for everyone I've decided 2021 is the year to step up and push some boundaries. I entered a few ultra marathons, but that didn't seem enough. With some crazy planning and ideas, the 12in12 plan was born.
Half of the runs will be self supported (not official races) which I think will add to the challenge. Mentally, I think those are going to be the tough ones.
I chose Sam's Haven as a charity as I fully support the work that they do. They are a small, local charity who work so hard to better the lives of others. As a parent, I couldn't imagine the difficulty of having a child with a severe illness and I am thankful every day that my children are fit and healthy. Not every family is that lucky though. Sam's Haven provides these families some respite to help them through the difficult times that they face.
Every pound donated truly makes a difference. As a smaller charity, Sam's Haven really does rely on every penny raised. You can truly make a difference.
So please support me along the way. Chuck in a couple of quid and feel free to laugh at me when I'm cold and wet 20 miles into a run in the middle of winter!
