Story
For those of you who don't know or haven't had the privilege of meeting Ricky Cooper, he is one of our long-standing students at Rusper Aikido Club who is always smiling and getting involved.
Ricky has learning disabilties and has recently been diagnosed with sleep anea which compounded with other problems means that he cannot break down fats in his body without medication. To help with his sleep anea he wants to lose weight and has decided to do this at the same time as raising money for a local food bank and Re:Act an emergency and crisis humanitarian reponse charity operating in the UK and overseas.
Today Re:Act are working around the UK with scores of additional veteran volunteers to help with the Pandemic, offering expertise in rapid disaster response, incident management, logistics and life support, collaborating with the voluntary sector and military to ensure the unmet needs of shielded communities and key workers.
Any money, large or small, would be gratefully received! This will not only give the encouragement that Ricky so desperately needs but will go someway to help the local foodbanks and Re: Act with the funds they need to help others.
