Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
In June 2012 at the young age of 17 I was diagnosed with Lupus, it was a huge shock. My consultant, who I have nothing but praise for supports me with my illness, not to mention the underlying help I receive from friends and family.
This walk is my way of doing my own bit for my illness, helping to raise money for research to find better treatments or even a cure. I also hope it can bring some awareness for this unknown illness and how it affects each individual.
I will be walking a 4 mile walk starting at Trafalgar square at 1.30pm, passing famous landmarks (nothing but sightseeing to motivate my walk) going past Buckingham palace, St James Park, The Houses Of Parliament, The London Eye and Downing Street. If im feeling more motivated I can go on for an extra stretch onto Covent garden. This will no doubt be a challenge as I have to deal with my own symptoms daily (Joint Pain, Extreme Fatigue, Muscle Weakness and pain.)
Donating through JustGiving is simple and secure. Once you donate the money goes straight to the charity. Its the most efficient way to donate, saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you
