Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy lives to seeing another way of me raising money for young people who desperately need your help.

As many of you are aware, working with "Cricket for Change" is a real honour and although sending my days watching and helping others make the most of sporting oportunities here and overseas is brilliant, there are many days and months where you guys dont see the real hertbreak and anguish we see from our young people and the way they are frustrated about their inabilities to do things due to natures wicked turn.

I was part of an amazing trip 2 years ago where we took 13 blind cricketers to Barbados to not only play cricket against the West Indies and Barbados, but to really get their first taste of independence and to hopefully make friends for life!!! The trip was a huge success with many young people still friends to this very day and so to my next favour/challenge.

As a charity we are attempting a world first in cricket. We are hopefully taking 13 Visually Imaired and 13 physical and learning difficulties players to play against the Courtney Walsh Foundation and the Jamaica National Team. Both parties need alot of support with accessibility, specialist equipment and fundraising as the fiure quoted is £50,000 as a MINIMUM!!! Our 40 strong party will be focussing on the social and life changing qualities of the tour and the majority of these young peoplehave never left the country.

I am being forced to do a fancy dress 15 mile run from Lords Cricket Ground to the Oval before heading to my Cricket Centre in Croydon and I have stupidly decided to attempt to raise a massive amount of money in  short space of time. The major reason why I am doing it is so that I can take 2 young people with learning difficulties who wouldnt be able to run and struggle due their personal circumstances to take part in this life changing experience.

If I have ever bought you a drink, done you a favour, given you a lift, made you smile or if you just think its a great cause, please donate generously and I have until May 1st to find £1000.

Please give generously and if al my mates donate £5, it would make a massive difference to the young people, and you would barely know you had it!!!
