Story
In June 2022 I'm taking on my biggest challenge yet, something that I would have once upon a time thought was impossible...
I'm going to run 100km (62 miles)!!!!
I'm doing this for two reasons...
1) I want to prove that anything is possible!
There are plenty of excuses I could use for not pushing myself...
I have Gilbert's Syndrome - a condition that makes me feel incredibly ill when my body is put under stress.
I have IBS which makes eating on the go very challenging.
I have a metal pin and screws in my right leg as the result of a car accident when I was 19.
But I believe that with the right training, right planning, and right support that none of that can stop me from achieving things that are seemingly impossible!
And...
2) I want to raise money for Hart Wildlife Rescue!
Hart Wildlife Rescue are an incredible charity who save the lives of over 3000 wild animals per year!
They nurse sick and injured animals back to full health and then release them back into their natural habit.
I am hugely passionate about wildlife, the biggest threat to the natural world and the creatures that inhabit it is humans...
Whether its habitat destruction or the perils of crossing a road, wild animals are struggling to survive! If it wasn't for the work that organisations that Hart do, far more wild animals would lose their lives.
I know it's a cliché, but every donation will make a difference, no matter how small! Hart are 100% funded by charitable donations, so your donation could genuinely be the difference between animal surviving or not!
Please give whatever you can!
Thank you for the support :)
