Folks,

Since the Peru and Lands End to John o' Groats cycle challenges of recent years many things have changed.  Steve and Daryl have both got a bit older, a bit fatter and a tad greyer.  OK Darryl's winning the last one but you get the point!

One thing that hasn't changed is the number of our friends, family and colleagues that are still dealing with, suffering from, and in many cases dying from cancer.  It is not however just those that contract one of the many forms of this horrible disease that need support.  Those close to and involved in the lives of the affected often have a huge strain placed upon them.  Supporting the patient can be one of the hardest times in a persons life, especially when it is a loved one.

Macmillan are true experts in their field and have years of experience behind them when it comes to supporting ALL of the areas and people affected when cancer comes into our lives.

Darryl and Steve are going to get back on the bikes once again in an attempt to raise a few grand to help the nurses of Macmillan do what they do best.

We really do appreciate that times are lean currently.  Please remember though that cancer is indiscriminent and wont back off because there's a recession on.  We will all know somebody right now who is affected either directly or indirectly so please do try and give something, anything.  Perhaps by a pack of ten cigs rather than twenty just this once or go a week without buying your favourite magazine and sponsor us instead.  It's a small price to pay in the greater scheme of things.
