Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year’s Strictly Come Prancing 2012 - a take-off of the popular TV dance show – promises to be bigger and better than ever.  The show will be held in Edinburgh on 15th September at The Assembly Rooms and will feature a Sopra couple (dancing couple that is!), Dave Meikle and Margaret Moore.

After 3 months of intensive ballroom training, Dave and Margaret, in “competition” with other participants (victims?), will take to the dance floor and perform a Charleston routine, in an effort to raise as much as possible for the Aberlour Child Care Trust.

The money raised will go to a local service called Outreach Edinburgh that works with families that are experiencing problems with substance abuse. Your donation will make a substantial difference to the lives of the children in these families.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

1 in 4 children are living in poverty in Scotland. That isn’t right. Not all children are born with an equal chance. We know that by working together we will beat poverty and discrimination. With your help, we will reach more children and their families earlier, before it’s too late.
