In memory of Mike Walsh who sadly passed away on the 27th December 2018.

Many of you will remember Mike as Daventry Cycle Club's, Club Secretary, but he was so much more than that to the club.  He was the friendly face that welcomed all new members, the man that if a rider was struggling would sit at the back giving them encouragement, he was the very back bone of the club, organising events, sorting membership, keeping everyone in line.  Mike had a big heart, a big personality and would go out of his way to help anyone.  He is sorely missed by everyone that knew him. 

This year our annual sportive is in Mike's memory, all profit made through ticket sales will be given to his family's chosen charity Friends of Danetre Hospital.  The hospital was where Mike spent his final weeks and received fantastic care and support.
