Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Richard and I have decided to enter the Race Across Britain and ride the 969 miles in 9 days from Land's End to John O'Groats.

In total we will be climbing more than 41,000ft, which is 1.5 times the height of Everest!

I have decided to raise money in memory of Stephan Haesaerts who I and all at Tag had the honour to work with.

In his last days of life Stephan asked friends and family to make any donations to a charity called the Quiet Cancer Therapy Appeal which is run by The Royal Free Unit where he spent time during his illness. The Appeal has an active research programme dedicated to furthering the understanding of what causes different types of cancer, how it grows, can be detected earlier and also for the development of new therapies.

Facts:

There are more than 200 types of cancer, each with different causes, symptoms and treatments.

Around 320,500 people were diagnosed with cancer in the UK in 2011, that's around 880 people every day.

Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer.

More than 1 in 3 people in the UK will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime.

We will be extremely grateful for all the support we can get, so please give generously.

Many Thanks, David

Richard Jameson and I have both fully funded the costs of our trip and all money raised will be going to the individual charities we have chosen to support. You can visit Richard's page by clicking this link https://www.justgiving.com/RichardJameson-Tag
