Carol and I have successfully completed the 50 mile Friar Tuck ride. Our training was set back by illness but we got back on track and managed the ride with reasonable comfort, taking full advantage of the the three feed stations to keep our sugar levels up. In the event the weather was kind but for a head wind in the Vale of Belvoir. We would greatly value your support not least since I am a governor at Portland and we are both keen to support its vital work with learners and citizens who have special needs. The College needs to fund raise in order to develop its facilities and to keep up with the ever changing demands of its users and their funders. Particularly, the College needs community funding to support its Woodland Adventure Zone project currently under construction and its Newstart Hall project currently in development.

In our 70th anniversary year, we are currently raising funds to develop our Newstart Hall, transforming it from the tired hall it is today, into the region’s Centre of Excellence for health and well-being for people with disabilities.
