Fundraising for Love Hope Strength Foundation
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know, I reached the big 40 this year, and to celebrate (?) I decided to run a marathon; London couldn't guarantee me a place, Rome would have meant getting on one of those horrible things in the sky, I think they call them aeroplanes, so Edinburgh was the marathon of choice....the fact that it's supposed to be one of the flattest marathon's in the world had nothing to do with it!!!
So, with the marathon chosen and registration completed, it was just a case of selecting a worthy charity. Now, as everybody who has spent more than 5 minutes in my company will know I have only 2 loves (excluding family): Football and music, more specifically Fulham FC and The Alarm.
Some of you maybe aware that the lead singer of The Alarm (Mike Peters) has been diagnosed with cancer twice and beaten it on both occasions. Mike along with others setup a charity called the Love Hope Strength Foundation, and it is because of his determination and inspiration I would like your donations to go to this worthy cause. Please take a bit of time to look around their website so you can see where your donations will go, and to see some of the amazing achievements they have completed so far.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
