We are a 24 hour search & rescue service to save lives at sea

Story

Peter Estlin, GRB Chief Finance Office, and I are participating in a ‘charity kidnapping’ in support of the inspiring work of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

We’re being held hostage on one of the RNLI lifeboats on the river nearby to One Churchill Place, Canary Wharf.  Please support me achieve my fundraising target of £10,000 so that I can be released from the boat.  All I have to help me reach my target is my phone, my contacts, and this webpage – please help!

All funds I raise will be donated to the RNLI – an independent charity that has saved more than 139.000 lives at sea since their foundation in 1824.  They provide 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue services around the coasts of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

The money we raise as part of this ‘Boss in Boat’ event are part of the BRAWN Lifeboat Challenge – an eight month challenge to raise funds for the RNLI.  Our Barclays team is competing against other corporations to raise funds to buy a new lifeboat for the river Thames in London.  Our overall Barclays target fundraising sum is £200,000.

Please share this JustGiving page with your colleagues and encourage them to support me in this worthy cause.

Thank you!

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
