I am 63 years old and have Moderate COPD with 50% lung capacity. I used to get out of breath very easily, hyperventilate and go into a panic attack because I couldnt breathe. I was very depressed as I couldn't do the everyday things in my life without struggling to breathe. 

I went on a Pulmonary Rehabilitation course at my hospital recommended by the BLF. This course changed my life and gave me my life back. 

I have been training to RUN for 8 weeks now. I struggled to walk up hill let alone RUN !  I train hard and use the Hospital Gym to get as fit as I can to help prolong my life. I would like others with lung disease to see that it is not the end and with support and help from the BLF and research they do. Life can still be enjoyed by those with lung disease.

I am going to run a 5K to prove it and hopefully raise money for the BLF helping others with lung disease.
