Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Every hour someone in the UK is told they have Parkinsons Disease.  This disease causes muscle tremors, slurred speech, slow movement and in some cases, the inability to move. These are just some of the symptoms.

In order to support this charity, I have foolishly agreed to join my boyfriend in a 12,000ft Skydive on 30th October. I say foolishly, as I hate heights and, as most people know, Accident Prone is my middle name (or Debbie-Doh as some of my family call me).

My boyfriend's dad was diagnosed with Parkinsons in 2002, and suffered with this until he passed away in 2007.

This will be a great challenge for a great cause. Please help me raise money, Parkinsons UK's work is solely dependent on donations.

P.S. Just dont tell my mum I'm doing the jump! ;o)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving . When you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Thankyou.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
