Story
It's not the miles you put in, it's what you put into the miles.
If you never met Phil you certainly missed out! He was full of humor, had a love for all, and was an all around bad ass. He carried the weight of the world on his shoulders and battled addiction, losing that fight on March 10, 2017.
Shortly after his passing I began running (again) feeling so connected to him while pounding the pavement, my grieving time. I am forever grateful for the lessons I learned along the way with him. I always try to honor him the best that I can. This year I'd like to honor him with a half marathon around the city on his birthday 6/25. He would have been turning 41. What is most important to me is to spread love to all those still struggling with addiction, so I am setting a goal to raise $500 to help those who continue to fight.
