I currently have two children attending Coventry Hospital  

Our daughter-in-law Holly has advanced triple negative breast cancer . She was referred to the Arden Cancer Centre at Coventry in order that she could take part in immunotherapy trial .Unfortunately she was unable to go on the trial because she developed Hashimoto's Disease which is a complete failure of the thyroid , possibly due to the extensive radiation therapy. However Holly was  very comfortable with the  team at Coventry and they agreed to continue to treat her even though she was ineligible for the trial. While Holly was attending an appointment at the endocrinology department I asked if they would be prepared to see Charles my son who has a pituitary type brain tumor ,  He had been on a waiting list for far too long in Birmingham for his follow up appointment.  They agreed and saw him quite quickly and discovered his tumor had been progressing and he was becoming immune to the drugs that had kept it under control and needs brain surgery at some point. We wouldn't have known so quickly, had they not accepted us .

 As a mother I'm so incredibly grateful to them for looking after both children and I'd like to give something back

One of the things we noticed  when Holly was having a chemotherapy was that the chairs were crap . The reclining mechanisms have broken on quite a few ,which meant that patients having chemotherapy couldn't recline. These chairs are provided by the Hospital charity .So I'm asking you to help me buy one chair at the time to replace them the first chair will cost approximately £1,000.
