I started my ultra-cycling adventure at the beginning of the year after months of deliberation.  My dreams of racing around the world were interrupted with races being postponed or cancelled due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. I wanted to use my training and passion for cycling for a meaningful cause, and to prove that anything is possible if you are willing to work for it.

 Representing the UK charity Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind came about as a way to help people suffering from mental health challenges in the North East of England and also to honor the staff and volunteers that work so hard to help others. 

 Starting on October 18th I will be riding my road bike through the mountains of Italy, for a distance of 1000 km (621 miles), climbing 24,000 metres in elevation.  I will be unsupported and have a time limit of 110 hours to complete this race. If plans change and I cannot visit Italy due to the current situation, then I will complete the challenge here in Dubai, where I live.
