Miscarriage is not something you really ever think about,it's the ominous shadow over every pregnancy yet for some reason you never think it will happen to you.Then you hear those words that every parent dreads,

 "I'm sorry there is no heartbeat"

The room falls silent and your heart breaks.Our own personal heartbreak happened recently when we went for our 12 week scan. We had already been for a precautionary scan at around 7 weeks and everything was going fine so we had no reason to be fearful going for the 12 week scan.We were wrong.

Unbelievably 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage. 

Tommy funds research into pregnancy problems and provides information to parents.Their target is to halve the number of babies that die during pregnancy or birth by 2030. Any money raised for this charity could go a long way to them reaching these targets.
