We raise awareness & champion research to help PCD patients get the care they need

Story

So I've decided getting punched in the face is a good idea so I'm doing the Leicester UWCB event on 29th June. If you'd like to watch me get punched repeatedly, there are VIP and standard tickets available - message me for more info!! :)

I'm not just doing this for fun - I'm hoping to raise a little bit of money for my pain. As most of you know, my lungs aren't great. That's because I have a rare genetic disorder called Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD for short). The PCD Family Support Group have given me much information on the condition and how to manage it, plus provided me with support and supported my close family members. They also and promote research to better understand the disorder, alongside improvements in diagnosis and management.

Please sponsor me to give much needed funding to our PCD Support Group. On top of my personal experiences, the PCD Family Support Group was also formed to bring PCD to the attention of medics who may come across PCD and continue to provide an up to date information service for them and the general public. They also support the NHS and other bodies to ensure patients have access to diagnostic services and on-going care.

Check out their website to see how much they do for us with PCD and those who are affected by it: http://pcdsupport.org.uk/

PS I'm also fundraising for Cancer Research UK. If you'd like to donate CRUK instead of/as well as PCD, please head here:  www.justgiving.com/fundraising/dexteruwcb
