We raise funds for vital medical research to ensure the health of women and babies

Story

When I gave birth to our beautiful daughter Ella I knew I was very lucky having already lost our first two babies.  As many of you know Paul and I sadly went on to suffer the loss of another five in the pursuit of another child.

We have now decided after much soul searching that enough is enough and that it is time to concentrate on enjoying the miracle of one healthy daughter.

I am going to complete this challenge for three main reasons; firstly to celebrate Ella, secondly to mark our acceptance that we cannot have another child and thirdly to give something back to the system that supported and encouraged us through such devastating times.

I have already called on many of you for emotional support which you have given unselfishly and for which I am grateful, now it's time to ask you all for some cash too!

My sister, Christina and my sister in law, Sue have volunteered to join me (after a few wines) and I am grateful to them too.

Money raised for Women for Women is used to fund groundbreaking medical research into a range of conditions affecting women and their babies.  These include infertility, miscarrige, cancer and genetic disease.  Even if you have not been affected personally, we all know someone who has suffered such traumas.

So there it is, I'll cycle the 450km (300+ miles) over 5 days in China next year, and all you have to do is dig deep and sponsor me!

Go on, do it for the precious babies..........Thanksxxx
