Story

Our daughter Daisy was diagnosed with a brain tumour in June 2018, (2 days before her 8th birthday) and our life's changed forever.

However devastating this diagnosis was, myself, Justin & Daisy couldn't have got through this without the care of Newcastle RVI children's cancer ward (Ward 4/14) and the support from the families whose children are also there.

Daisy under went invasive brain surgery to try and remove her tumour but they werent able to remove it 100% and due to this Daisy will be under their care for the next 5/10 years.

So I want to be able to give something back to the ward and help all the children, including Daisy. These amazing brave kids are absolute hero's ❤

I want to help to continue the fantastic work the Childrens cancer fund charity do to raise their spirits & help them smile whilst having to go there for treatment, which can often be scary, gruelling and tiring. All which can impact on a child's life.

For me, ìt also helps me channel some of the really difficult emotions that we have had to face and continue to face as a family, and focus on doing something positive. When you see the inspiring kids in the ward, you can't sit and wallow knowing what they are facing.

So this is why myself, and my extremely supportive & amazing friends, are going to take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, (was scheduled this year but due to COVID, now set to complete this 2021🤞)

This is a huge challenge for us (but again it has to be to help raise money) The walk is approximately 25 miles in length with an elevation gain of 1585 metres (5200 feet) and our  goal is to complete this in 12 hours! 😳

So we are very grateful for you reading, supporting and donating to our fund raising.and all money goes direct to the RVI Ward. Your money can really help make a difference to a child receiving treatment ❤
