The past few months in the run up to the big event have been very busy and all our family, friends and colleagues never tired to help and support us to raise funds for this great cause. Ed and Jean kindly hosted a charity garden party for their friends and family at their home in Staffordshire leading Margaret to dust off her recipe books to make a Victoria sponge and fairy cakes for the event.  

With a Tombola, a book sale and a cake stall they raised over £200. This was closely followed was a Silent Auction at Liz and Emil's (Margaret's sister and brother-in-law) birthday bash in Havant. There were beautiful gifts on offer, kindly donated by people coming to the party but the highly contested auction was between the VIP trip to a power station and a tour around the National Air traffic Control centre in Swannick.  Who would have believed it!!! The outcome was over £1200 raised for the charity.  A big thank you to all of you who have donated so far.

Our highly organised training regime has not been going quite to plan with Dottie popping to the gym, Sally doing the same and Margaret thinking about it. 

Now, October has come 'round much faster than we thought and we're off to trek through the hot Moroccan sun and sand. Encouraged and inspired by the good wishes and support of everyone, we will not fail you.
