Event: Mission RASI, on 30 April 2015
We provide emergency support to seafarers to give help and hope for crews worldwide

Story

In April this year, myself and 30 friends and Shipping Industry colleagues will be attempting to row the 154 Km's around Singapore,  in a non-stop circumnavigation of the Island in just 24 Hours. We will be rowing Cornish Pilot Gigs, think old fashioned life boats which, with 6 oars and weighing in at 400 Kgs each, take  a bit of work to get moving. The event itself will be held to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Singapore's independence and will coincide with Singapore Maritime Week, 2015.

We are raising funds for the Mission to Seafarers which, whether caring for victims of piracy, providing a lifeline to seafarers stranded in foreign ports, or simply providing a space to relax and a listening ear, the Mission is on hand night and day to support the world’s 1.5 million seafarers.
