On 15th September 2020, the students of EOFT 22 at RAF Cosford have been taking part in 8.0 mile runs to celebrate & commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, raising money for the OppO foundation, which supports ex-military personnel.
The OppO Foundation support ex-military personnel in their quest for gold by providing specialist training and physiotherapy. Competing in Tokyo 2020 is just one of the many goals. They want to inspire others to follow their lead and use sport to regain physical health, mental strength and a purpose in life. A great many military personnel have returned home with a disability suffered in the course of serving their country. With a little support they can do it. #TeamOppO
With 80 years having passed since the Battle of Britain, the British Armed forces have continued to defend the country ever since. Hundreds of thousands of men and women have served in that time, and the OppO Foundation is looking to give back, to support ex-serving personnel transitioning into civilian life, and often carrying on with life-long injuries from their service careers.
