Dear friends and family, 

I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. I'm excited to share some incredible news with you all - I am about to embark on a journey that's close to my heart and represents a significant milestone in my life. At 50 years old, I am going to
challenge myself both physically and mentally by running in the Dublin Marathon in Ireland!

The idea of running a marathon at this age might seem daunting, but I believe that life is about constantly pushing our boundaries and setting new goals, no matter the age. Dublin's beautiful scenery and the spirit of the city's marathon fascinate me, and I can't think of a better place to take on this challenge.

However, this marathon isn't just about personal accomplishment. I am reaching out to each one of you today to help me support a cause that I believe in:  Alive and Kicking charity. Alive and Kicking is an amazing charity that creates sustainable livelihoods in Kenya, Zambia, and Ghana by hand-stitching sports balls. These locally-made balls provide employment opportunities for disadvantaged communities and support vital healthcare programs, which aim to combat preventable diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, and COVID-19.

I set up a fundraising page to collect donations for Alive and Kicking in conjunction with my marathon run. Your contributions, no matter how big or small, will make a tangible difference in the lives of many and offer a glimmer of hope to those who need it.
