Eleanor is our friend's daughter who was 4 years old on 24th March 2015 and, following a recent eye test, has been diagnosed with a Hypothalamic Glioma (brain tumour) otherwise known as a Pilocytic Astrocytoma.  Eleanor is now undergoing a long journey of chemotherapy and other treatments which could last well into her teenage years.

Eleanor’s journey will be a very long one and will pose many hurdles for her and her family, not only emotionally, but particularly financially. Your donation will go directly towards helping Eleanor’s successful progress (hospital expenses, new learning tools for the visually impaired, days out & put aside for future treatments, be it complimentary or medically required, that are not readily available in the UK).

Checkemlads has set up a funding channel for any funds we can raise for Eleanor and her family to give them some support.  This charity is very close to their hearts as Eleanor's Dad, Tim, suffered from testicular cancer 10 years ago.

Eleanor's family also want to raise more awareness around this condition, because early diagnosis is key to other children having more of a positive outcome - if diagnosed - from their inevitable treatments.
