Thank you to everyone who has supported me during my sabbatical year. 

Exactly one year ago today, 21 January 2017, I left a fantastic job as Tour and Travel Manager for Chamber Orchestra of Europe to go and work as a volunteer for the sustainable development charity Raleigh International on water and sanitary hygiene projects in Nicaragua and Nepal. 

Working with young British, Nicaraguan, Costa Rican and Nepali volunteers alongside members of rural communities to create positive and lasting change has been educational, challenging and humbling.  Above all it has been heart-warming.  When we put aside our differences and work together we can achieve amazing things.
