Our little Evie was diagnosed with a serious heart defect before she even made her appearance into the world. This meant she needed life saving surgery just a few weeks after she was born. For us, as her parents, with very little knowledge of Evie’s condition were obviously very scared of what the following months would hold for our little girl. She had her surgery and is now 9months old and doing super well!
Evelina Children’s Heart Organisation (ECHO) supports children and young people who have been diagnosed with a heart condition, as well as offering support to their parents, carers and their families. As a family, ECHO were invaluable to us, answering questions and supporting us every step of Evie’s journey. We want to give something back. On January 29th we will be walking 26miles, starting and finishing at the Oval. Dig deep and make, what seemed like a good idea at the time, an easier walk for us! 😉
