Story
In September 2018, I started doing Parkrun. It was my time alone and worked wonders for my own wellbeing. That lasted until the end of the year when I could say events took over but really, I had enough of the mud.
I started couch to 5k in April, my first target in rebuilding my life. I can now proudly call myself a runner from being someone who pretended to faint for the 400m at school. I have run 3 times a week ever since and the 10k has called me.
Mum spent many years teaching at the Highway. This is a few days after what would have been her 70th birthday and if it wasn't for her, I'd never have begun this journey. The National Trust has given us so many happy memories and long may it continue.
