Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page in memory of Elton "Muppet" Horner. Elton was the most amazing husband, brother, son, friend and cyclist - maybe I should have put that first!

Two and a half years ago Elton was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Sadly this metastasised into his bones. Elton took on cancer with the same positivity, vigour and drive that he would have any uphill bike ride.

He was an inspiration to us all. Even when he was fighting his own battle against this disease, he still found the time to support his family and friends with sage advice and plenty of silliness. 

Dorothy House hospice looked after Elton for his last 11 days. This amazing place focuses on the patients' quality of life, so they can live and die well. The nursing staff took care of Elton with compassion and kindness. In his short stay Elton made a big impact with his quick wit and daft sense of humour. In return, he is now remembered with much fondness. The staff at Dorothy House have also given his family support in this time of such sadness.
