Story
It will be 5 years in July since my husband Mark completed nearly 3 years of chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) A milestone that seemed a impossible to imagine back in 2014 when he was first diagnosed. We are eternally grateful for the treatment he received and for the past research making remission a possibility.
The bloom appeal is a small charity that supports people in Merseyside and surrounding areas who are being treated for blood cancers. It provides money to help patients with childcare, food bills, transport costs etc. It also helps fund research and education into blood cancers. Recently the bloom appeal donated £50,000 towards the young persons cancer ward at the new Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. Any money donated will make a difference to patients suffering with blood cancer.
Amy and I will be running the 10k on 1st May and Tom, Ewan, George and Henry will be running the 3K to raise money for the bloom appeal.
