We are working for people and wildlife to create a Wilder Nottinghamshire

Story

My name is Emily, I am 7 years old and I've decided to walk 4 miles along the Grantham canal from Gamston to Cotgrave Country Park on 30th August 2021, picking up as much litter as I can and raising money for Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust.

I'm doing this walk because I care a lot about our planet and the environment. I want to do something that raises awareness about how important it is to look after the Earth, and which makes a difference to my local countryside. I have chosen to raise money for Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust because of the important work they do to protect our local wildlife and nature.

About the charity

Our aim is to create a wilder future for Nottinghamshire, where people and wildlife are thriving together. For the last 60 years we have been standing up for nature across Nottinghamshire and today we care for over 40 reserves.
