Story
I was not planning to 'edit' my story. I wanted my beautiful friend Lucy-May to see each of my 12 challenges; she got to see 1. Fighting admirably throughout her journey with Cholangiocarcinoma, she never complained about the hand she was dealt. Lucy is a true inspiration and the determination she had cannot be matched. A wonderful person, with a heart of gold and the biggest smile imaginable, I will miss her terribly.
I have lost my keeper of secrets, my role model and my ray of sunshine. However, I have not lost my motivation to help AMMF and continue with my 12 challenges. They are a wonderful charity who have been a huge support to family and friends alike. Please dig deep into your pockets and give generously. Awareness has to be raised and solutions found to stop other people experiencing the pain Lucy's family and friends are feeling...
AMMF is the only UK charity currently raising awareness and supporting research into the causes, methods of earlier diagnosis and treatment of Cholangiocarcinoma (CC).
Although CC is described as a 'rare' cancer it is actually the second most common cancer arising in the liver. It is extremely difficult to diagnose accurately and early. Often by the time a diagnosis is given the patient is in the advanced stages and the only potential cure, surgery, is no longer an option.
Unfortunately CC is on the increase across all age groups, including younger people. AMMF is working tirelessly to support research into the causes and treatment of this devastating disease but they cannot succeed without our help.

I will post regular updates and photos of all the events so you can track my progress as well as my fundraising target.
