I am raising money for The Adolescent and Children's Trust. TACT is a children’s charity offering foster and adoptive families for some of the most vulnerable children and young people across Scotland. All the work that is carried out is for the benefit of children in care and on the fringes of care. Operating profits are invested back into the services, ensuring carers and the children in TACT's care receive the best support possible.

It's a sad fact that the majority of looked after children will have experienced abuse or neglect before entering care. Often, the traumas they've suffered can stay with them throughout their childhood and into adult lives - unless they receive the right support.

I personally have witnessed the hard work and dedication that goes in to helping children and young people in care. Unconditional support, opportunities and choices are key in helping young people achieve their full potential. Everyday, each individual involved with The Adolescent and Children's Trust strive towards creating a world where every young person is raised by people who care in order for children and young people to build their lives. 

TACT relies on charitable fundraising and the support of the public and volunteers in order to carry out their work and your donation can make a huge difference! For example:

• £5 pays for a fun activity at TACT's BIG Weekend Away
  
  
• £20 helps pay for a Leaving Care Resource Worker or for a half hour counselling session
  
  
• £50 pays for an adopted child and family to attend the Adoption Summer Party
  

Thanks to the generous support of people like you, TACT can also provide help with leaving care support and post adoption support.
