Story
I started running in 2012. I was a complete beginner who could only run for a few minutes at a time when I started. Since then I have been lucky enough to compete in lots of races and qualify as a Leader in Running Fitness. I now take groups of people running with Eastleigh Running Club and spend time helping them become confident runners. Getting a club place to run the London Marathon has given me a great opportunity to raise some money and I have chosen to fundraise for Solent Mind. This charity does lots of good work in my local area assisting people with mental health issues, providing support and advice to those coping with dementia and befriending those who otherwise would be lonely. Solent Mind makes sure anyone with a mental health problem has someone to turn to for advice and support.
Running has become my way of coping with the stresses and strains of everyday life - it has been good for my own mental health. Running the London Marathon is my next big challenge - please support me in this endeavour and donate what you can - every little helps!
