'Emily's Roses'
A group of close friends and family are taking part in The Colour Run in Birmingham on 16th August as a fun way to honour Emily Rose, whilst raising awareness of Lymphoedema.
We lost our Emily Rose in 2012 at the age of 19 after suffering with lymphedema since the age of 12.
Em was someone who never let her illness get her down, she never complained, just got on with her life. Someone so full of life and laughter, She took each day on with an infectious smile.
We would like to raise awareness of this illness, but also celebrate Emily Rose Mayo’s life.
Lymphoedema is a long-term illness that causes swelling in the body’s tissues, usually affecting the arms and legs it’s painful and in some cases, causes loss of mobility.
However big or small the donation may be, every little can help towards The National Lymphoedema Support Network. The charity takes pride in educating and supporting patients that suffer with this illness.
