Well, thanks for stopping by!  As anyone who knows me is aware, I like wine...alot!  So stopping drinking any wine or any other form of alcohol for 31 days is quite frankly unthinkable, and actually I realise (as I type this) really stupid!  However, there are three reasons I have decided to do this.

First, drinking has become too easy.  Have a good day, have a glass of wine...have a bad day, have a glass of wine.  So it is time to interrupt this habit.  

Secondly, my father was an alcoholic who died of his illness aged 68.  I lost him twice in my life - once as a young child when he left, and the second time when he left for the final time in very distressing circumstances. #RIPDad

Thirdly, and certainly by no means least, The Encephalitis Society needs support.  Sometimes a few of those we help are able to give something back, however some do not.  So I'm hoping this act will motivate and inspire those who are aware of the devastation encephalitis can wreak, to set up their own little fundraiser however small or big.  We have a fantastic team who do amazing work and this is my tribute and thanks to them, as well as my way of helping what is an amazing Society keep going.
