Story

On Sunday 20th May the annual Baker Hughes 10K run is taking place in Aberdeen. Once again, the AWPR Beyond Zero (BZ) Team have gathered volunteers from the Contracting Authority to take part. One of the mains goals of the BZ team has always been to leave a lasting positive legacy in Aberdeen beyond the completion of over 100km of new roads! With your help we aim to do that by supporting local causes and charities, so that is why we have got a team of 10 volunteers to run 10km each, effectively a relay team running the length of the project.

Last year a BZ team of 8 completed the 10km run raising a brilliant total of £1,127.37 to support another fantastic local charity CLAN. This year we aim to beat that total and have our target set at £1,250.00.

The ‘End of the Road!?’ team will be running not only to raise money for local charity SensationALL but also as part of Safety Week to raise awareness of the positive impact running can have on wellbeing for both physical and mental health.

Our team of runners is made up of Peter Skinner, Mark Robertson, Callum Murdoch, Luke Summerlin, David Walker, Stuart McFarlane,
Andrew McArthur, Bruce Clarke, Kenny Rowan and Ibby Lengyel.

Thank you for your support and generosity.
