2018 marks the 30th anniversary since we started raising awareness of dyspraxia. We’re proud of our achievements but as a forward-thinking charity, we’re already focusing on the next 30 years.

Story

The Dyspraxia Foundation have been my go to for all things 'Dyspraxia' during our journey with Erin (8), who was officially diagnosed in January this year, following 18months of suspicions, appointments and assessments. We have been so grateful for their knowledge and easily accessible resources.

Those of you who know Erin will know that she likes to talk, to anyone, about anything, even Dyspraxia! So you can imagine her excitement when I mentioned The Dyspraxia Foundation had a fundraising campaign for their 30th anniversary. Ideas came pouring out, mostly completely impractical!

We eventually decided on a sponsored cycle. Learning to ride a bike can be very challenging for someone with Dyspraxia, Erin has been very determined and with the support of her physiotherapist mastered this skill at just 7years old!

This year The Dyspraxia Foundation are celebrating 30years with their £30,000 for 30 years campaign so this is where Erin's 30km in 30days has come from. Yes we could've done this in the Summer holidays when the sun was out and we had more time but our reason for choosing October is so that it ties in with Dyspraxia Awareness Week (7th - 13th October).

We would be very grateful for any amount you can give to help Erin reach her goal of £300 and support the fantastic work The Dyspraxia Foundation do in research and raising awareness.

Thank you,

Love
